I was lucky enough to be invited to shoot Nick and Ute's wedding at Ndzalama Nick and Ute are currently living in Canada and this was certainly not a traditional South African wedding. The day started with friends and family gathering at Ndzalama to enjoy a splendid autumn day in Africa. Later in the afternoon, the informal, yet intimate ceremony was conducted in the open veld by one of their best friends. Following the brief ceremony, each guest had the opportunity to speak to the couple and place a symbolic ribbon over their joined hands. This unusual ritual involved all the friends and family members present and gave each person the opportunity to wish Nick and Ute a marriage filled with blessings. The traditional food served at the reception was delicious and the guests carried on partying until after 2am - a sure sign that they all had a blast. I took my last photo at 1:30 am. This is only part 1 check out the rest
