RE.INVENT Myself
Thursday, 25 February 2010 16:41

"That looks really painful"

I took these shots at the RE.INVENT workshop hosted by in my opinion the two best photographers in South Africa, Dror Eyal and Andrea Carlyle.

It was held at the boutique hotel Forum Homini.

ps. as a bonus we also got a glimpse of Minki Van Der Westhuizen on a shoot with Pasella.

Retro Urban Grunge
Wednesday, 10 February 2010 10:36

Lizelda and Jan Harm are getting married at the Sheraton, Pretoria. This venue is slap bang in the middle of Pretoria's city center, very excited and a first for me.

You can expect a lot of retro and grungy type shots in the next couple of weeks. I've organized with the Manager of The Sheraton that we go up onto the roof for the couple session!!

I am also planning on spending a bit of time in the city streets where most of the shoot will take place.

Graffiti Wall
Saturday, 21 November 2009 12:42

I was driving through Irene one afternoon and saw this awesome graffiti wall, I knew it would look

great for a wedding location shoot. I contacted Eileen and Don and told them about my idea, they were very excited.

The result was a exciting but chilled session with these two.

Lomo girl
Thursday, 12 November 2009 11:44

"Dont think, just shoot"

  1. Take your camera everywhere you go.
  2. Use it any time – day and night.
  3. Lomography is not an interference in your life, but part of it.
  4. Try the shot from the hip.
  5. Approach the objects of your Lomographic desire as close as possible.
  6. Don’t think. (William Firebrace)
  7. Be fast.
  8. You don’t have to know beforehand what you captured on film.
  9. After wards either.
  10. Don’t worry about any rules.
